oven not reaching temp/just out of warranty

i purchased my gas range just over a year ago and am having issues with the oven reaching temperature. i had a technician out to look at it today and it turns out to be a faulty gas valve that is no longer available. instead a full valve panel needs to be purchased and it will take 6+ weeks to get in and the repair will cost the same as the purchase price of the range.
i'm very disappointed as this oven is only 1.5 years old.

i bought this stove for my mom a year ago and it worked great up until a month ago when the oven just stopped working. it makes a "click" sound like it wants to start but stop at 250 degrees. it does not warm up or change temperature. very disappointed. based on the reviews on this page, this seems to be a common issue. i hope it gets resolved.

what a nightmare. just barely a year (post-warranty) after we purchased this appliance, the oven started taking *forever* to heat up. a samsung repairman diagnosed the issue (cost: $120). a total nightmare to schedule (those 5-hour windows). he said that he sees igniter issues *all of the time* with these models. another scheduling nightmare…not the igniter. now it was the pcb main control board. another appointment (and scheduling nightmare). this time it was our gas pressure. a plumber said otherwise. this whole thing feels like a runaround/scam and, at the end of the day, we have a lightly-used appliance that hasn't worked in two months.

upon initial inspection, everything looked okay, but when we went to install, there was internal frame damage undetectable from the outside.
samsung has refused to help, saying it is not covered under warranty even though it came this way. we tried to have someone come inspect for safety since it is a gas range and does not sit level due to this defect. their inspection services said that from our photos, they know they won't be able to fix it so they will not come out.
this was our first home & we bought all samsung appliances. never again, now that we know how little samsung cares for the safety of their customers. it would have cost them little to send us a replacement range in comparison to the lifetime of appliances we otherwise would have bought from them.

i had this gas range converted to liquid propane on installation. the front burners (15k btus and 17k btus) burn way too hot! simmering rice on a front burner, for example, burns all the liquid away before the rice can cook. sauteing requires constant stirring to avoid burning. the rear burners are lower powered, but they're small in size, so the heat, though low, is concentrated in one spot and scorches anyway. i called samsung to see about switching the positions of the two front burners, so i could have the 15k on the right front and the 17k on the left. after multiple assurances that this was possible, when it came to schedule the service, i was told it could not be done.

i ordered directly from samsung, and paid extra for installation. the installer did not install anti-tip device (he said that it was not included with the stove).
everything worked fine for 19 days, then the oven stopped working. burners and broiler work, but not the oven. samsung cannot get a repair person out for eight days.
even though it has only been in service for 19 days, the service appointment confirmation had this note: "please be advised, there may be a cost associated with this service."
so i paid for what i thought was a nice unit, and paid for installation, and now i have to pay for repairs???

i am really enjoying my new range. it has been 30 years since my last one. i love the various sizes of burners, as well as the center for the griddle. the oven cooks great, heats up quickly, and the convection is great.
i don't like cleaning the splatters, so hard to do. therefore i have started covering as much of the surface as possible.
the burners have so much heating power compared to my old stove. i have to get used to them.
i would never roast on convection again. i like a slow cooked roast.

this is by far the worst range i've ever owned. within the first year the thermocouple for one of the oven burners stopped working. i live in a remote area and samsung would not send anybody to fix it so i ended up doing it myself. year 2, all 5 of the plastic knobs broke and the black stainless finish starting peeling off various parts of the oven. samsung customer service was not at all helpful, and told me i had to spend $113/knob on samsungparts.com as i was out of warranty. that would add up to the cost of the stove! bottom line is this is a very cheaply made and over priced product. what makes it worse is samsungs unwillingness to assist and admit their shortcomings and poor quality. do not buy!

this stove not only looks great but it provides us with a strong flame that heats out cook wear evenly and faster than any other stove we've owned. the oven provides two bake settings.
we found that having a small spray bottle of plain white vinegar for cleaning the surface works great. ( use after stove cools)
the price was a bit more than we expected but well worth it.
all-in-all this has been the best stove we ever had!

jan 2021 - be aware when the oven is on, very hot air blows out of a vent just under the top control panel. i measured the air coming out of the vent at over 275f; hot enough to burn a hand or fingers! samsung service center informed me that air from that vent could be as hot as the inside oven temperature and was "normal". it seems to me that the engineers at samsung should be able to figure out how to reuse this hot air rather than just blowing it out the front and causing potential danger to someone using the range!

i purchased this stove in 2018 and i actually generally like it. however, after having owned it for almost three years i have realized that i was delivered a damaged product. someone put electrical tape on the knob post (see photo) to make a broken knob work as intended. it's possible this was done by home depot, but either way, samsung clearly knows that their knobs are problematic and have not fixed the problem. replacement oem knobs are upwards of $40. fix your knobs, samsung.
it's lucky for you that i didn't realize this bamboozling before the warranty period expired.

we bought our home 2 1/2 years ago and i was sooo excited that this brand new stove (never used) came with the house. now i gave 2 stars because i do love the oven it is great. but... everything else is not worth it. all of the knobs have broken (made inside of cheap plastic). the middle griddle burner and the smallest burner do not work at all. it is a major pain in the butt to clean. the inside of the burners are filled with gunk from cooking that i can not get out, ihave tried and tried to get it out but it just sticks in the corners and does not come out. do not buy this

the stovetop burners are fine. but the oven leaves much to be desired. the biggest issue is the temperature. it is very inaccurate. i noticed that various dishes were taking longer than what was on the packaging and my prior oven. so, i purchased a high-quality oven thermometer. i discovered that the real over temperature was on average 35 degrees below what the built-in over thermometer stated. sometimes 50 degrees. when i adjusted for the difference, items cooked at times that were more reflective of their packaging instructions. note: this is using the bake mode, not convection. i am not sure if it is an isolated issue with my oven, but i highly doubt it. i do not use the convection aspects very often as i find my external convection oven to do a much better job.

review the other available options. i wish i did. i've had this range for about 4 years.
one of the knobs broke within the first year. i switched it with the simmer burner knob.
it still falls off every couple weeks, but livable.
the grates started rusting after a year. it is very difficult to keep the range top clean. if you do not clean up messes right away, good luck. i am not sure why this is worse than any other range i've ever had.
the oven light flickers when you open the door.
i am currently replacing the ignitor for the oven. it stopped working, so the oven will not work.
the center large oval burner is a novelty and it is underpowered.
overall, shame on me. i now go to appliance specialty stores.

within 30 days of purchase, the glass on the oven door cracked in two, for no reason. dealing with samsung customer service is another level of hell. they cancelled my first service appointment, no-showed for the rescheduled one, and have an automatic hang-up feature on their phone line. i will never buy another samsung product.

the oven never reaches the temperature its supposed to and the top burners make an annoying noise. samsung technician wont come due to location and refund is less than stove value. have been struggling for months now with no oven and nothing has been done. do not reccomend and will not be purchasing from samsung again.

This is by far the worst experience I have ever had with any company! If you want to cut your life short, go ahead and ignore my review. I purchased this Gas Range after reading good reviews about it and ignoring the others, I've learned my lesson. The Range was delivered by Samsung in Aug. and this incident happened in Oct.: the inside window of the oven shattered in the middle of baking food. All the tiny pieces of glass went everywhere, including underneath the oven bottom piece (burners!!). Samsung is refusing to refund my money and/or exchange it with a new one. Now half way NOVEMBER! they are still refusing to exchange the unit! This is a health and fire hazard! if you're in a similar situation I encourage you to file a report regarding the careless actions from this company.

Purchased all new appliances. We love this range. The only con is the bottom drawer is flimsy and under the control panel on the top front it gets screaming hot. Be careful! Hoping it doesn't melt. Its where the oven is vented.

i have had 3 issues with this oven. the buttons stick & the entire oven stops working. the ignitor went out. i had to pay half the price of the oven to have it fixed & it still doesnt work. im fed up with samsung. there's an issue with all of my products from them. i also have a fridge & the ice maker just stopped working. even my tv's have issues. i defenitely will not be purchasing anything else samsung & wouldnt reccommend anyone to. i contacted customer service & they just wanted more money. what a waste of money!!

unfortunately, i'm reminded daily that the knobs on this particular range are made of plastic. why cheap out on the knobs, arguably the most used, touched feature on the range. after a few months using the range the middle knob cracked and broke. i complained and samsung sent another. some months later, not only did the same knob crack and brake, but all of the others are cracked as well. they crack where the knob attaches to the range. if this wasn't reminded daily of how one part can ruin the cooking experience, i would have given it, possibly, two or three stars.

We are very happy with the gas range overall, so far. The one disappointment is that we were told that the stainless steel surfaces were fingerprint resistant. Far from the truth. Every time you touch it you leave a smudge or fingerprint. All of our other stainless appliances are smudge resistant and this one sticks out like a sore thumb. Constantly cleaning it.
