I purchased the refrigerator 5 years ago and the compressor has gone out already. Check your model number as several models LG has a CLASS ACTION LAWSIUT AGAINST THEM for this issue. Their customer service is awful. I will never purchase an LG appliance again and highly discourage anyone else too.

Best refrigerator owned in five decades.

I purchased my new LQ refrigerator March 22. After 50 years of having several different makes/models of refrigerators this one has been my favorite. The overall design of being able to organize and clear shelves assist with decreasing risk of items being pushed to the back and spoiling. The outside is black stainless steel. It is beautiful and no matter how many hands are on the refrigerator daily there is never a print on smudge. The cooling system is amazing and it protects the meats vegetables and fruits better than anything I have ever had.

Issues from the start

I do not recommend this model At All. Weve owned this model since 04/2020. Since the beginning we have had issues with the ice maker. The box slips out of its position easily which causes the ice to Not dispense until it is manually repositioned back into place. Literally every time.Every day. Thousands of dollars to continuously do this is ridiculous. Three years later the freezer is not working. Apparently the motherboard drain tray went out and according to the repair tech Appliance Care Repair LLC both parts are on back order for 12-16 weeks That was two weeks ago and Now my refrigerator is not staying cold Even with doors closed for 8 hours straight. This is causing meat dairy to go bad fast. Thats additional money for groceries to replace and I cant grocery shop for the week because itll go bad. SAVE YOUR MONEY STAY AWAY FROM THIS MODEL

Refrigerator not cooling

I bought this product 6 years ago - it does not get cold - it seems the compressor Condenser and a valve is broken. After 5 years LG does not cover the labor just the parts - but the labor is expensive. After consulting with LG they agreed to cover both parts and labor. But lost $1000 worth of food items because we didnt realize refrigerator was not cooling for 3 days because this is our second refrigerator which we do not use that often

Great refrigerator but service fee is ridiculous

The refrigerator has been exceptional however I have real concerns about the flat rate service fee LG has adopted for repairs. The condenser went out under warranty so while there was no charge for the part the $585 flat rate service fee made my experience a bad one. Nice revenue stream for LG but a poor choice for your customers when an hour long warranty repair cost that much.

The compressor on our LG refrigerator which is under warranty went out. After approximately 12 hours on the phone trying to obtain a compressor we still cannot get one shipped. LG WILL NOT ship one to a customer and our repair company cannot fill out the request to obtain a compressor that is required by LG. It is going on three weeks without a refrigerator. Never again will an LG product enter my home.

Every appliance in my home is LG. Including all of my tvs. Overall I have been very happy with all of them. The paint started to chip off of the handles on the refrigerator. I called customer service to find out that it had a lifetime warranty on the finish. However the part was back ordered and they did not know when it would be back in stock. I ended up having to buy the part from a parts supplier. That was frustrating when it was supposed to be warranted.

Very upset that my compressor went bad just after the 5 year mark which is covered by warranty. It cost me close to $800 in labor to replace the compressors gas the refrigerator. I will not purchase a LG refrigerator in the future because of this.

I love the amount of space inside the fridge. The bottom drawer in the main compartment is such a bonus. Plus being able to slide a shelf out of the way is also very nice. Having two drawers for the freezer helps keep everything organized too.

Product Purchased on 5/5/18 and died last night. For an appliance over $2000 $400/year is not satisfactory at all. compressor no longer working Fridge and Freezer warm and need to replace all food. Went to clean our coils/vents was not bad at all and fan working but LG tape on compressor melted and hot to touch. To have fixed/repaired will be over $1000 for parts and labor. This on top of having extended warranty for 3 years which expired 18 months ago.

Disappointed. Im experiencing white powdery stuff coming from icemaker. Despite my complaint that Im concerned my family including small innocent kids might be drinking chemicals service department says its normal. How can that be when thats not the case with other brands even cheaper brands? The powdery stuff is unsightly and messy. Whats the point in buying a product when you cant enjoy it? Extremely dissatisfied with product and service. No more LG Products for me.

My refrigerator was purchased in July 2018 and after just over five years the freezer isnt working and the ice machine will not make ice. I loved the refrigerator up until now and would have recommended it but for obvious reasons I do not feel confident in purchasing another with the linear compressor.

This is the worst experience Ive had with a company. The worst customer service. I only had my fridge for 6 years and it stopped cooling issues with compressor. I found out that this specific fridge has a recall and/or had issues with cooling in fact there was a class action lawsuit. Unfortunately I was not aware until after the fact and I was unable to file a claim. I called LG directly and basically asked them to meet me half way. The customer service rep argued with me and he said theres nothing they can do. Ive been an LG customer for several years cell phone fridge dishwasher etc........I lost faith in the company and products and I will no longer be an LG customer.

Fridge broke in less than five years

We bought this less than five years ago and it died. We paid for the protection warranty but it took 7 days for them to come out to fix it. We lost food which was very upsetting. I pleaded with them to make a sooner appt but they didnt have a tech coming to my area for a week. grrrr. The man that finally did come out was very nice and efficient.

The left refrigerator door makes a loud slam unless you hold it all the way shut The mid door crispers wont open. There is nothing in the owners manual on how to get them to open.

What a Lemon

I bought this 4 years 4 months ago its been a headache. It suddenly stopped cooling or freezing the compressor went out everything in the freezer melted I had enough so replaced with another brand. I have many LG products but will never buy an LG refrigerator again. Previous to this there were 2 instances where I replaced the water filter the connection went bad flooding my fridge as I went to purge the line. I had to replace the line twice The drop down shelf is annoying it drops down all by itself sending anything on the shelf flying. I had to jam tiedowns under the shelf to stabilize turned it into a stationary shelf. I dont know if all LG fridges are this bad or I just bought a lemon but Im done

Worst Fridge Ever

I will never buy LG products again. They should stick to making phones. Their appliance are garbage they did not work from day one. I have spent 2 years of my time trying to get them to replace or refund the fridge. That means I have been without a working freezer or water and ice maker for over 2 years. Every single time I called I had to start the trouble shooting all over again. There is a federal lawsuit concerning the compressors on these fridges and they continue to sell them knowing that they are faulty. Getting a certified technician out take almost a month and the compressor has to fail 3 times before they will refund the fridge price. DO NOT BUY THIS FRIDGE
