Poor icemaker reliability and function.

The issues I am having with the water and ice dispensers eclipse any positive feedback I may have. GVC Appliance repair has been to the house twice and got the water dispenser to work for a day but the problem has come back and now GVC is not returning my calls. Had I done my research prior to purchase I would not have purchased this model as it is commonly known this model has icemaker issues.

Great product with all the features we wanted

After shopping around for a bit I can say that I am glad we went with this refrigerator for our home. The quality of the appliance is top-notch and both the wife and I love how much room this have. The IcePlus feature is great especially this past Thanksgiving when we had a number of family and friends over. We plan on using it for our holiday parties and Christmas as well. I love the Instaview feature which allows us to see what is in the fridge. The Door-in-Door is cool as well as we have items in the door itself that we use frequently so we can grab them without having ot open the fridge itself. I love the ice and water feature espeically the crushed ice which is great in my water and lemonade. My wife loves the huge freezer with the extra shelf that allows her to store all kinds of food in the freezer where it will last longer and save us money. Wtihout a doubt this is a great refrigerator and one I can highly recommend

Thin-Q Calls Home when a problem surfaced

My stepson bought this refrigerator a few years ago but recently the craft icemaker didnt seem to be working consistently. In looking at the Users Manual I noticed that it had Thin-Q so I downloaded the app and connected to the internet. About a day later I received an email from LG indicating that there was a problem with the Craft Icemaker and I should call the toll-free Service number. After a quick discussion LG sent a new icemaker which I was able to install in minutes and the Craft Icemaker is once again working well. It was the tipping point on my decision to buy my own LG Refrigerator.

Reliable and Reachable

This is our 2nd counter depth LG double drawers refrigerator we purchased. We love it. Very reliable. Theres 2 things that I would point out. If you fill the drawer up too high litle packets can fall behind drawers which in turn does not close tight. Second is the ice tray. If full and unused the plastic tray will expand and pot the latch off at the bottom. This is when no ice will produce or come out. Everything is very reachable is what I love most with this frig.

Terrible product and service from Lowes and LG

Purchased a 5 year warranty at time of purchase through Lowes. At the 4 year point neither LG nor Lowes will stand behind the product and fix it. Spent days on the phone trying to get service. LG finally came out and replaced the compressor but fridge still does not work and cannot get any help. We have now been without a fridge for 20 days and about ready to give up and get a new fridge. iIt will not be from Lowes and it will not be an LG product.

I BOUGHT THIS IN APRIL 2023 ALONG WITH AN EXTENDED WARRANTY. IT HAS A CRACK IN THE CASING ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE BOTTOM FREEZER DRAWER. I NOTICED IT WHEN ICE STARTED TO BUILD UP ON THE INSIDE OF THE DRAWER. I CALLED THE WARRANTY DEPARTMENT AND THEY SAID THEY WOULD SEND SOMEONE TO FIX IT WITH TAPE. I WAS GIVEN A 8AM-5PM WINDOW AND NO ONE SHOWED UP. THEN WAS RESCHEDULED WITH THE SAME WINDOW AND WHEN REPAIR TECH CAME HE SAID IT COULD NOT BE FIXED. THE WARRANTY DEPARTMENT IS HORRIBLE TO DEAL WITH. THEY DO NOT WANT TO REPLACE THE REFRIGERATOR. I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THE WARRANTY DEPARTMENT. OTHER THAN THE CRACK IN THE CASING I LIKE THE REFRIGERATOR.

I had bought our frig a while back and was happy. Until the compressor went out. Your service provider MS electronics came out and installed a new compressor. which also failed. Called them again and again. and made appointments and missed work to wait from them they never showed. this happen three times. your service center is very bad also. I went almost a month without the frig. Never again will I NEVER buy a LG AGAIN

If you plan on purchasing this make sure the filters are corrected. We purchased this refrigerator in 2021 and they redesigned the filter. Now none for. LG has not taken accountability for this despite multiple interactions with their support teams. I do not recommend buying fun from LG.

Poor experience with LG service

I brought my first LG refrigerator in 2018 and they had to replace it in 2020 and just last week they had to replace the compressor I like this refrigerator bit it has not been a good experience also I was w/o it fo 12 days had to throw away all my food and they only offered me $250 for food replacement very low amount compared to the amount of food I lost and yes they did replace the compressor

Horrible quality and even worse service

I bought this fridge 3 years ago and it died. It has been 5 weeks and it still is not repaired. The repairman thought it was the compress. It is 82 degrees in the fridge 30 hours after the new compressor.

I bought this frigerator in 2019 4th of July. We started using it and was very pleased with it. At first but as time went on we started noticing. That we loved it a lot it had lots of room period Service on it and no one would come out and service our refrigerator so LG finally decided to replace the entire refrigerator because it totally burned up it leaked water. It unthought everything in the freezer. Everything became warm in the refrigerator and the doors were very so I lost my brand new refrigerator freezer French store. And 2 freezers on the bottom. I had no idea what was wrong with I? Do not have a refrigerator now and I wont have one until the 23rd or the 24th of this month. I am sitting without a refrigerator. We are lucky that we bought the 5 year warranty on it. And we just bought a new one with another 5 year warranty on it as well.

3 years ago it was purchased. Compressor failed. Was replaced with a new one. The only negative is the function of the ice maker. Cubes freeze up and will not disperse ice into glass until you will have to get a ice pick and break it up in small bits to cycle through exit shoot.

Fridges compressor broke after 4 years and 3 months. Luckily it was still under warranty and was replaced free of charge. However had to be without a fridge for 3 weeks before they had availability to come repair it.

Im gonna make this brief its been broke since july2023 and Im on my 6th service call to restore cooling so been living out of a portable cooler and wasted multiple groceries because 4 outta those six times was assured issue was fixed but that wasnt the case so needless to say very disappointing

Broken Ice Maker

Ice cube maker is only 15 months old. Paid for an appliance company to come out. LG claimed the fan isnt made yet to repair this He searched all over and could only find a part that was comparable to the fan used in this beast. It is now in my garage waiting to go to my grandsons garage. What a bitter disappointment.

Great looking but malfunctioning

The refrigerator worked goof for about 3 years and started to fail. The temperature started to go up and LG sent a technician that has been trouble shooting the issue for the last 2 weeks and has not been able to fix. Meanwhile I have food spoiling had to purchase a small back up refrigerator as at this point the LG is not reliable

The Only Weak Feature Of This Refrigerator

This is an excellent refrigerator with one minor exception. The outer door-in-door is too flimsy. It does not has that solid feel. I have a hunch that the gasket seal around this outer door will be first one to fail.
